Kenneth Burner Ken Burner is currently Principal Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity Engineer for Computing Services at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA. He has 35 years of experience designing, building, operating, managing and relocating data centers. Ken has been involved in the concept and functional designs of a state-of-the-art data center in Doha, Qatar and recently managed a multi-million dollar overhaul of the main campus data center’s electrical system. He is currently active in efforts to build resiliency and recoverability into the University’s most critical IT applications and to help plan and implement their next generation data center. In his spare time Ken likes woodworking, enjoys dogs and is quite fond of tinkering with tractors. |
