Phoenix Company takes data centers to Europe

Phoenix-based data center provider is expanding its operations in Europe, aiming to expand beyond its U.S. base.

The company announced the expansion along with the hiring of Ricky Cooper as vice president of sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The company said it could not comment about its specific plans for the region.

The move will potentially bring IO’s modular data centers, which are manufactured in Phoenix, to Europe, as well as its suite of data center-as-a-service offerings that allow for more remote management and connections.

“IO sees a major market opportunity in EMEA in helping organizations move to Data Center 2.0 strategies, where they can buy modular data center hardware and software like other IT purchases,” Cooper said in a statement.
